This whole website started as a silly idea to match up experimenting with achieving good search engine rankings for "square toed shoes" with the image of a "square toad", and quickly evolved into a labor of love.

We feel that what we have here is a useful website that makes shopping for square toed shoes easier (by collecting as many shoe brands and styles into one place as possible), and adds community interaction and fun into the mix.

You can pay homage to The Toad, or poke fun at the whole thing, by reading through some Odes to a Toad and submitting your own ode.

We also have a section where people can submit their own pictures wearing square toe shoes - we're not sure what we'll get here, but hopefully something that can be posted and enjoyed by your friends and others.
